Cat found in Michigan with an ARROW through its chest undergoes miracle surgery to have the projectile removed - but may not survive the trauma

A cream-and-white colored tabby in Michigan was found with an arrow sticking through its chest 

The male cat was discovered on a highway and was brought into the Capital Area Humane Society on Monday

The cat was able to have the arrow successfully removed through surgery which could have killed the animal 

The cat will still be monitored for the next 24 hours to make sure nothing goes wrong 

The owner is believed to be an elderly woman who last saw the animal this weekend
